Ndahambelela Haifene is an international speaker, empowerment advocate, youth leader, mentor and author who is passionate about helping transform the lives of people in her community. The 25-year-old describes herself as God’s servant and is a firm believer in using her time, talent and treasures to serve people. Consequently, in her quest to serve others, she recently launched her new book, Meeting the Refiner.

Haifene grew up on the outskirts of Eenhana, a town in northern Namibia. She started her education at Eenhana Primary School and advanced to Haimbili Haufiku Secondary School, where she completed her high school. Nevertheless, Haifene pursued a Bachelor of Laws, Honours degree at the University of Namibia which propelled her into her current profession, as a coordinator of a department of legal compliance and regulatory affairs.

Passion and serving others

The young advocate is most passionate about seeing the lives of people transformed and making sure that every person lives in their God-given identity. Likewise, her passion stems from the environment she grew up in, which she describes as “one with not much ambition or dreams”.

Consequently, she wanted something bigger and better and to return to her community, giving back all she could. She also believes that God has called everyone to live life in abundance. “I love seeing people healthy. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. And if I can serve people in any way to contribute to them living a life of abundance, I will”, Haifene stated.

Haifene is passionate about how her profession challenges her and keeps her on her toes. She shared that she loves that it is a new industry that requires her to learn continuously.

Magreth Nailenge, one of Haifene’s colleagues describes her as a happy, smart and capable woman. “Ndahambelela’s work ethic is impeccable and she is always busy with something. She is a supportive colleague who will not let you struggle alone,” stated Nailenge.

Furthermore, Haifene gave her life to Christ on the 27th of August 2017. Moreover, she believes that through being saved, she has been transformed into a new creation. She admits that prior to being saved, she was not a good person and hurt people, but now she has become the woman that God has called her to be and has found her purpose in life. She now sees life as an opportunity to serve others.

Her spiritual leader, Shirlaine Shekupe, describes Haifene as a faithful individual, diligent and as one who stands firm in that which she believes in. “I believe that she is one of the people that are challenging the status quo of what it means to be a believer in this day and age.”, Shekupe remarked.

Moving by God’s grace

Moving by God’s Grace is a podcast established by Haifene in 2019 after, according to her, a prompting by the Holy Spirit. Haifene uses the platform to discuss all things faith and life. Additionally, the podcast is targeted towards young people and adults and its purpose is to have difficult conversations that are hardly discussed in the faith community.

“Raw, authentic, truthful and Bible based”, are the words Haifene used to describe the podcast. Moreover, Haifene provides a mentorship programme under Moving by God’s Grace with a purpose of intentionally investing in the lives of women.

Meeting The Refiner

The 25 year-old has recently launched her new book, Meeting The Refiner, which she says took almost a year to complete. The book is titled Meeting The Refiner as it encompasses her journey to meeting God – ‘The Refiner’. Coming from a religious background, she believes that she is continuously being purified and refined by God to be who He has called her to be.

“There’s a journey of unlearning, learning and relearning when we encounter God”, stated Haifene. The book is purposed to remind people that regardless of their sin or actions, God loves them. She also hopes that through reading the book, people are prompted to have a relationship with God and discover him for themselves.

There’s a journey of unlearning, learning and relearning when we encounter God.
