Nowadays, everyone is listening to podcasts as they do their household chores, shop, drive to work, and walk around campus. There are many podcasts and genres that talk to everyone’s interests, from business to family, religion and lifestyle, and even fiction and true crime.

The reason podcasts excel is because you can download them and listen anywhere, anytime. Christian podcasts, in particular, educate and inform us on various topics that we often hesitate to discuss in our small groups. In this article, we will look at some podcasts that you should definitely add to your list if you haven’t already.

The Basement with Tim Ross

If you are searching for someone who knows the Bible in and out, front to back, then you have found your guy. Tim does not shy away from discussing topics like sexual promiscuity, mentors, cheat codes, and helping people live a low life instead of chasing fame and rooftops—figuratively speaking.

Beloved guests on the pod include Michael Todd, Charles Metcalf, Dante Bowe, Michelle Williams, Travis Green, Dee-1, Trip Lee, etc. Just about everyone who is worth listening to. It’s safe down here in the basement.

In Totality

How do you even begin to describe Megan Ashley? She is a fierce, and I mean fierce, and radical believer in Christ. Her podcast episodes often have themes of navigating divorce, dating with children, and living in your purpose. She encourages people to totally submit their lives to Christ.

If you are a new believer or just want to listen as she and her guests talk about obedience, forgiveness, intimacy, and being bold about your faith, then In Totality is for you.

The Leader’s Cut with Preston Morrison

Don’t watch this podcast if your faith is hanging by a thread and ‘one wrong word’ will offend you. Preston does a fantastic job breaking down and simplifying the Bible, challenging your beliefs, and making you face things and question whether they align with what the Bible says. After all, we all need to cut off the dead parts of ourselves in order to grow, amirite?

With the Perrys

AHHHH! I love, love, love these two! If you’ve been a Christian for more than two minutes, then you probably know who Jackie Hill Perry is. She is cutthroat in the way that she teaches the Bible, leaving no room for misinterpretation or letting culture dictate and distort the Living Word.

Her husband, Preston Perry, is a theologian who tackles controversial topics like racism, politics, pornography, and LGBTQ+, as well as other religions like Mormonism. If you’re ready to receive the truth in a raw yet challenging way, this pod is for you.

Girls Gone Bible

Angela and Arielle are not your average Christian girls. They are a mirror to people who have not been raised Christian and are therefore discovering God for the first time, or those who have gone astray and have been in the world for some time and are coming back to their faith. They are refreshing in the way they share their testimony and use their podcast to discuss purity, modesty, dating, soul ties, and singleness.

Better Together

This program gathers all our favourite aunties, Priscilla Shirer, Cece Winans, Lisa Bevere, Sheila Walsh, and Rhiannon Bell, around a table to discuss trauma, parenting, redemption, and keeping hope alive in your waiting season. Get ready to learn from gentle spiritual souls who will heal your inner child.

Keep it positive, sweetie

You may remember Crystal Renee Hayslett from the Tyler Perry show ‘Sistas’. Crystal is stepping into her podcasting journey with a brand new one, and we are tuned in!

She discusses topics like body counts, dating, loving intentionally, and sisterhood. If you are in the mood for a podcast that can go from light-hearted banter to speaking life into the next person, strap in.

Saved Not Soft

This podcast is a gem. Emy takes you on a ride in her podcast as she shows and helps you navigate the Christian lifestyle while tackling issues like generational curses, breaking addictions, and going through trials and tribulations. She also shows you how to protect your peace, put your faith over your feelings, and crucify your fantasies.

I hope that these add something of value to you and that you grow in your journey, whether you are a baby Christian or have been rocking with Jesus Christ for some years now.
